ArseWeb presents: Arsenal vs Tottenham
It goes without saying that all these sites are rubbish.
See the following pages from the ArseWeb
history/stats section
- Summary record of derby matches with matches played and goals scored in each competition, and
individual appearance and goalscoring records.
- Full record of
derby matches, including dates, attendances, and team lists for each
match.
Arsenal vs Tottenham trivia
- Arsenal have clinched the title at White Hart Lane twice, in
the double season of 1970/71 (1-0, Ray Kennedy) and again in 2003/04 (2-2, Vieira and Pires)
- (that's the same number of times that Tottenham have done it, see
record-breakers page)
- Arsenal moved to Highbury in 1913, following relegation to the 2nd division. Antagonism between the clubs began when the league re-started following the first world war. Arsenal managed to blag their way back into the first division despite protests from their North London neighbours, who were relegated at our expense (see history page for details)

St Totteringham's Day
The name given to the day each season when Tottenham can no longer finish
above Arsenal (without us getting points deducted, which we have to admit
is rarely an impossibility). Julian Shulman is to thank for the concept
(see this newsreel
story, which was its first publication).
Mike Pitt's Cann Table page includes a section on St Totteringham's day, including current season's analysis and historical record.

Peter Budd created the original, anyone know if it's still online anywhere?
But on the same theme, Colin Young sent us this...
