ArseWEB - Getting to Highbury

Highbury : Stadium & surroundings (sensitive street plan)

Stations

Arsenal Stadium is well served by the following stations:
Arsenal (closest to the ground)
(Picadilly Line)
Finsbury Park
(Victoria and Picadilly Lines, British Rail from Kings Cross)
Holloway Road
(Picadilly line)
Highbury and Islington
(Victoria line, British Rail: North London Link)
  • See this Street map for routes to the ground from these stations.
  • If that map doesn't give you the information you want, try the UK Street Map Page which will give you a map containing any London Street, and then zoom in/out, or look at neighbouring areas. To get you started, here's what you get if you ask for Avenell Road. It shows Finsbury Park and Arsenal Tube stations but you'll have to scroll down to see Highbury & Islington Station.
  • DigiStreets
Good for maps as well as pictures. You can take a virtual walk around Highbury via Avenell Rd, Gillespie Rd, Highbury Hill, and Aubert Park. (go to N5 and look for these roads in the pull-down menu). The nearest they've got to Ashburton Grove (in pictures) appears to be Drayton Park.
  • Look here for more information on the Underground lines and links to Tube maps and a route planner
  • The Metropolitan Police also provide travel information for away fans.
  • The Premier League's WWW site provides some more travel information. Note that their street plan leaves out the roads you would normally use to get to the ground from the Tube station. Use the ArseWEB map instead! (sorry, temporarily unavailable)
