Not a great November
Why is November never a great month for the Arsenal? At least this year we are through to the second round of the Champions League and are riding high in the Premiership.
But we seem to have a problem committing players to the box, we have the best four strikers in the Premiership and on Saturday finished the game with all four of them yet none of them wanted to get into the box and have a shot on goal. I'm sure I speak on behalf of all season ticket holders when I say that we play some great football, but there are times when the weather is against us and we are playing against a back nine when we need to shoot and get in the box. Yes I love what Kanu can do, and Thierry's goal against Man Utd but please boys good teams who win titles grind out results against the Derbys of this world.
Enough of my soap box, I am still passionate about the boys from N5 and believe we will win the Champions League and the Premiership, we haven't hit form yet and we're picking up points. A team will soon get a thumping when the whole team is firing on all cylinders.
So it's an International football week and it's good to say four of our boys in the Under 21 squad and hopefully they will progress to the first team soon. And it's great to see Matt Upson back from injury and I want to take this opportunity in wishing him loads of luck for the rest of the season.
It is unusual to see an England team without Dave, Tony and Martin, and yes Martin before you ask again you are a great defender.
Good luck to Peter Taylor and the England boys and lets hope this is the start of something big.
