ArseWeb - Youth Team Page 1998-99Contents
Following Arsenal's success in winning the inaugural Premier Youth League last season, I believe the national youth system has been further restructured to include national leagues at lower (ie younger) levels. Now called the FA Premier Academy League, there are two levels - an under 19 and an under 17 league. Arsenal have withdrawn from the South East Counties League this season in favour of competing in the national Premier Academy leagues at both U19 and U17 levels. If anyone else knows any more, I would be grateful for any information. Please email me if you can help. Last updated 4 May 1999 Arsenal youth team appearances 1998/99In the following table figures in brackets are goals, figures after the plus sign appearances as substitute. In the second column, an R indicates player has made reserve team appearances, a T indicates schoolboy, triallist or unknown. See youth squad for further details.

FA Premier Academy League U19Match reports, where available, are linked to from the dates in the fixture/results list below. I have not yet discovered the exact form of the FA Premier Academy leagues yet - I would hazard a guess that there are 4 regional conferences but have yet to confirm this. Arsenal are in what appears to be a southeastern section, though there are some London teams not in this conference. I've guessed at the other sections.
