Preview

  • Arsenal team news
The following players are all expected to miss the game: Adams, Petit, Vieira, Bergkamp, Grimandi (see last match). They could be joined by Hughes (who was also injured for the last one) and Winterburn (who went off, obviously still struggling with the injury from the Lens match).
update 03/12 Winterburn is confirmed as out of the Derby match, and the next few too. He's got a hamstring injury that'll keep him sidelined till Xmas.
update 04/12/987 Hughes is also definitely out.

  • The AFCi preview reminds us that the reserves beat Derby earlier in the season, in the Worthington Cup

Stefano Eranio plays in a friendly on Monday night as part of his rehabilitation from a pelvic injury. It's not clear how much of a chance of making Saturday's game he has but they've missed him in midfield so we have to hope they'll continue to do so for another week (especially with our weakened midfield).
Igor Stimac is extremely doubtful with an ankle injury.

Another draw. Seaman had to save well from Wanchope, and Parlour had our best chance saved at the other end.

A draw between Villa and Man U was handy in keeping us in touch, but Aresnal stay at 4th with Leeds's 4-0 win over West Ham meaning that they take the hammers place in 3rd (see table)

More here soon, although there may not be a full report due to injury.

"Not another one!" do I hear you cry? Yes, I'm afraid Derek (back) has joined the list. Get well soon.
