  • Arsenal team news
Apparently Sol Campbell has a good chance of returning from his hamstring injury in time for this game. Latest (see newsreel from Tuesday) is that he passed a fitness test and came through full training on Monday.

Henry and Ljungberg are doubts having pulled out of their internationals last week. Dixon Adams and Upson are definitely not back from injury, and Seaman and Jeffers are unlikely.

    update Wednesday
It sounds very likely that Thierry Henry will miss the game. He has been getting intensive treatment on the ankle injury which forced his withdrawal from the France-Australia game, but is still in too much pain to kick a ball.

He could be missing a few games after Saturday too. Jeffers is also out so it looks like we're down to Kanu & Wiltord for the Deportivo game. We'd expect Bergkamp to play against Tottenham.

Seaman is also absent (still no imporvement, still a possible op required), and Freddie Ljungberg's shoulder is still troubling him.

    update Friday
According to the Arsenal.com preview, Sol is not 100% to make the game. But likely to, having made a full recovery from his injury. Freddie has been ruled out though, along with Adams, Dixon, Seaman, Jeffers, and Lunzhny who has returned from international duty with a calf strain.

They also say that Vieira and Wiltord will definitely play and Pires is likely to start too, despite their long trip to Oz.

No mention of Matthew Upson though. If he is available then there is a possibility of Campbell not playing. At the time of their injuries Upson's was thought to be worse, but we've heard less about his progress than Sol's.

  • Tottenham_Hotspur team news
Carr, Clemence, Iversen, Armstrong, and Doherty are all injured.

See official Spures injury list for details. Darren Anderton's omission is not accidental (he is fit).
