We're sweating on the fitness of Adams and Grimandi.
With Keown definitely out injured, and Stepanovs
not registered, we could do with at least one of these 2 being passed
fit. Grimandi was out of the Chelsea game with a knee problem. He's
been jogging since and sdays it's getting better, but it's touch and go.
Adams, out of the Chelsea game through suspension, is reported to now be a fitness doubt for Wednesday. Oleg Luzhny deputised well alonside Igors at the weekend, but could have to be [artnered by Vivas again, which would
hardly be ideal. It's not quite clear why/if Upson seems to be out
of the running at the moment. He has had fitness problems of late but
was fit enough to start the reserves match on Monday night. And although
he had to come off at half time with "leg abrasions" after a clash with
John Moncur, the doctor has said that he's ok. Even if he's not 100% match fit,
he might be a better bet than someone who's not really a centre back.
Update Wednesday
Silvinho played for the reserves on Monday, but is still not fully match
fit so Cole will start tonight. Adams and Dixon are slight doubts but Grimandi is in the squad. Parlour will play, proabbly
in the middle as Gilles, if fit, is going to be needed at the back.
