  • Arsenal team news
Rumour has it that Igors Stepanovs returns for his first game since the Old Trafford debacle, giving Tony Adams a rest. Lee Dixon is also expected to be rested. That'd be for Oleg Luzhny, presumably, although Wenger has said that another option is Vivas at right back and Luzhny in for Adams, which would be nice for Nelson, but perhaps a bit harsh on Igors to be sidelined so thoroughly (it wasn't all his fault!). "I am veering towards Igors", says Arsene. "The break was to help him recover mentally."
Wenger has also hinted that Igors and Matty Upson could have significant roles to play as the season comes to an end.
Bergkamp is still out with his Achilles problem, Grimandi is still out with 'flu.

  • Manchester_City team news
Shaun Goater missed City's match at the weekend ( a loss to Everton) with a groin strain picked up on Friday. But he is hopeful of being fit to face the gunners.
Ex-Gunner Paul Dickov starts a 5 match ban following his sending off against Everton. City are to appeal saying that video evidence shows no contact between Dickov and Everton's Pistone. The size of the ban is due to 2 matches for reaching 10 yellow cards, on top of 3 for the red.

So if Goater is not fit, we could face Wanchope and Egil Ostenstad. The other option is Darren Huckerby, who has started their last 2 matches on the bench.

There is speculation that keeper Nicky Weaver may get the axe. He's made blunders in their last 2 matches, and Joe Royle will be thinking about calling up reserve keeper Carlo Nash.

    update Wednesday
Reports confirm that Weaver has been dropped, so Carlo Nash gets his debut. Joe Royle is still hoping that Goater will shrug off his injury to partner Wanchope in attack.
Wrighty's kid Shaun Wright-Phillips is out with knee ligament damage.
