Squad

The following is the list of players submitted to UEFA at the start of the season (and taken from the UEFA web site).

This apparently includes "B list" players (since there can be only 25 on the "A list" and the following list has 28 names on it).

As we understand it, B list players have to have been born after Jan 1st 1979, and have been at the club more than 2 years. This would mean that Cole, Upson, Taylor, Barrett, and Vernazza could all potentially be on the "B list".

A list players can be replaced by B list players for specific matches, providing that the club informs UEFA 48 hours in advance.

14/02/01 QF draw procedure

UEFA have clarified the procedure for the draw for the last 8.
Each quarter-final will be between a second-stage group winner, and a second-stage runner-up. The runners-up will play their home legs first. Teams from the same second-stage group will be kept apart, but teams from the same country, and from the same first-stage groups, will not.

25/08/00 First round draw

Arsenal play their first match on a Tuesday and it will alternate between Tuesday and Wednesday from then on. The good news is that both Uniteds start on a Wednesday, so we'll not be clashing. ITV will have to show our games this year! (although we wouldn't bet against things being rearranged for television).

23/08/00 Season Ticket News

Some season ticket holders will have to move to different seats for the home games, in order to accomodate UEFA's requirements. Everyone to whom this applies should be getting a letter from the club about it by the end of this week. Season ticket books will not be valid for CL games but all ST holders should receive 3 tickets in the post (as per Wembley tickets in previous seasons) in a couple of weeks. ITV will have highlights of games they don't show live, and a half-hour preview programme probably going out on Monday nights.
